Sexiest Man AliveRyan Reynolds is picking up the title of Sexiest Man Alive 2010 on the cover of People magazine. Since “sexy” is relative to the eye of the beholder, it may be unfair to call him the sexiest man alive, but Ryan certainly does warrant a “sexier than most” man alive award. Warranted, and well-deserved! Ryan joins the ranks of Hollywood heart throbs who have been crowned with the title in the past, i.e, Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Harry Hamlin (yes!), Harrison Ford (so yes!), amongst many gorgeous-faced others. Ryan Reynolds in 2010…do you agree or disagree?

A few days ago on Facebook I was voicing on my eagerness to kick my Diet Pepsi habit, so my friends over at Zevia sent me a challenge. They sent me some of their natural diet sodas.
So change is hard, right? It’s hard for everyone with everything….especially when it comes to your signature drink.
But the cans looked beautiful and the flavors seemed so good, and we already know I’m two steps shy of being a tree-hugger, so it’s safe to say, I appreciated the “natural” part of the soda.
I first tried Ginger Ale. One sip and I as a believer. But I kept drinking more and more to be sure. Next I tried the Ginger Root Beer, of which tasted absolutely nothing like a “diet” drink…so delicious. Other flavors were black cherry, orange, cola and orange. I loved all of them. They are really light and refreshing, and made with “good for you” ingredients.
You will absolutely love, love, love these drinks. It’s such a great break from traditional diet colas. The flavors really pop in your mouth and there’s lots of variety. It’s almost like dessert…and who doesn’t love that? Even Oprah does!
And the great news is that Zevia is going to give away some of their natural diet sodas to you, too! Simply become a fan of Zevia on their Facebook page.
Then simply leave a comment here on our blog letting us know you became a fan on Facebook. It’s that simple. Good luck!

Understanding Me TimeFinally, Friday is here which is code for the beginning of the weekend and “mandatory downtime”. Take some time to relax. Take some time for a facial. Take some time for a bubble bath. Take some time to rearrange your shoe closet. Take some time to do an hour of yoga. But most of all, make sure you melt into your down time so you can decompress and energize. That’s what weekends are for, girl!

Bath Temperatures
A morning bath can make you feel revitalized. Use a stimulating essential oil such as rosemary or grapefruit.
Don’t stay in the tub too long, as an ultra-long bath strains your circulation and hot water dissolves your skin’s natural lipids. There is a definite correlation between bath temperatures, duration of soak and the mood your bath leaves you in.
REFRESHING
77 degrees F to 86 degrees F – Duration 10 minutes
RELAXING
98 degrees F to 102 degrees F – Duration 15-20 minutes
THERAPEUTIC
102 degrees F to 104 degrees F – Duration 10-30 minutes. To treat a cold or induce sweating.
