Valentines Day weekend is not the time for your best jeans and shirt off the shoulder.  A Valentines Day date requires a dress, and a sexy one at that.  It’s time to show some skin and turn up the sexy.

Let yourself go and wear something skimpy, even if you are aren’t feeling that you are at your “skinniest self”.  Your date won’t care.  Your date likes exactly what you are bringing to the table, skinny or not.  This is a scientifically proven fact.  Go ahead, ask the guy next to you right now.  Men will like you in a sexy dress whether you are 10 pounds over your goal or not.  It’s all good to them.

After all, it’s not every day you can wear a red off-the-shoulder sexy dress, so take advantage and show your guy you know how to do Valentines Day right.  Attention to this detail will score you huge points.

Try this hot little date-night dress from Forever 21.

A martini packs enough of a punch for your guy not to feel like he’s drinking a girl’s drink, but also tolerable enough for a girl’s palate.

Chocolate dipped strawberries…a classic.  Super-simple to make, everyone loves them, and they look elegant.

Whether they are on a table for two, in a gift box, or in a bowl on the night stand by your bed…chocolate dipped strawberries always work.

Again, they are easy-peasy to make, but you have to have the right equipment, that being a silicone baking mat.   If you don’t have one, run up to the grocery store’s cooking section and buy one.  They are inexpensive and make this recipe doable.

Follow these easy steps by Kraft:

What You Need

1 pkg. (7 oz.) BAKER’S Milk Chocolate Dipping Chocolate
36   fresh strawberries

Make It

MELT chocolate as directed on package.

DIP strawberries in chocolate; let excess chocolate drip off.

PLACE on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

Substitute
Prepare using BAKER’S Dark Semi-Sweet Dipping Chocolate.
Cooking Know-How
For best results, serve strawberries the same day they are dipped.
How to Select and Store Fresh Strawberries
When purchasing fresh strawberries, look for plump, brightly colored berries with a strong strawberry fragrance. If pre-packaged in plastic cartons, be sure to check the bottom of the container for any mushy berries or signs of mold. Store strawberries in the refrigerator and wash just before using.

There’s a reason why most hot wings taste so ridiculously delicious…it’s because they’re fried.  Not to worry, though, there’s a way to do hot wings better. Instead of frying the wings, blast them at 450 degrees on a cookie sheet in the oven.  Use a cookie sheet with edges, as the wings will produce liquid. Line the tray with tin foil first for easy clean up.  Lay the wings in a single layer, then blast them in a 450 degree oven until cooked thoroughly, about 20-25  minutes.  At the very end of cooking time, place them right under the broiler and blast them for an extra minute to get the skin good and crispy. Immediately place them into a bowl and drown them in Red Hot hot sauce.  The regular recipe calls for butter and Red Hot, but you can eliminate more calories by omitting this step.  The hot sauce will still stick to the wings. Go easy on the bleu cheese dressing, but heavy on carrot sticks and celery, and you’ll have a skinnier post-Superbowl victory dance.

Cranberry Ice
Posted on December 14th, 2010 at 10:26 AM by Supernatural Botanicals

Want your holiday table to look like you hired a celeb party planner?  Steal this idea… cranberry ice!  It’s super-simple to make, and looks gorgeous in an ice bucket, or under a heaping load of shrimp cocktail.

Simply fill a cake pan (silicone is the easiest) with a couple handfuls of cranberries.  Next, fill with water just enough to cover the cranberries.  Freeze.  When the ice is solid, crack the ice into large pieces (bang on countertop) and place the ice shards over a bottle of wine or champagne in a bucket, or on a large tray and load it down with cocktail shrimp and sauce.  Add a few sprigs of greenery (use some pieces from the back of your Christmas tree if you have a live tree) to set the look off.

Simple + gorgeous.  Love that!
