Benefits of KissingThe Top 10 Health Benefits of Kissing…
Have you ever considered the benefits of kissing? There are many more benefits than you think. Pucker up and get healthier.
- Those who kiss their partner goodbye each morning live five years longer than those who don’t.
- Kissing is great for self-esteem. It makes you feel appreciated and helps your state of mind.
- Kissing burns calories, 2-3 calories a minute and can double your metabolic rate. Research claims that three passionate kisses a day (at least lasting 20 seconds each) will cause you to loose an entire extra pound! It’s time to start that kissing diet!
- Kissing is a known stress-reliever. Passionate kissing relieves tension, reduces negative energy and produces a sense of well being, lowering your cortisol ‘stress’ hormone.
- Kissing uses 30 facial muscles and it helps keep the facial muscles tight, preventing baggy cheeks! The tension in the muscles caused by a passionate kiss helps smooth the skin and increases the circulation.
- Kissing is good for the heart, as it creates an adrenaline which causes your heart to pump more blood around your body. Frequent kissing has scientifically been proven to stabilize cardiovascular activity, decrease blood pressure and cholesterol.
- Those who kiss quite frequently are less likely to suffer from stomach, bladder and blood infections.
- During a kiss, natural antibiotics are secreted in the saliva. Also, the saliva contains a type of anesthetic that helps relieve pain.
- Kissing reduces anxiety and stops the ‘noise’ in your mind. It increases the levels of oxytocin, an extremely calming hormone that produces a feeling of peace.
- The endorphins produced by kissing are 200 times more powerful than morphine. [source]

Lee Iacocca on Determination
There’s no hiding Tony Bourdain’s dislike (or disgust) for Sandra Lee. The Semi-Homemade queen does not rank highly amongst chefs or even the foodies of the world. A particular episode of Sandra’s that made Tony’s eye twitch was the Kwanzaa cake episode. In fact, he was so sure we’d agree with his thoughts that he told us to go home and You Tube Sandra Lee’s Kwanzaa cake. Watch for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

Tony’s near sold-out F-bomb laiden show in Cincinnati had all of us in stitches all night. He received as many laughs as a comedian. Tony is an incredible story-teller and one who isn’t afraid to share his thoughts on Food Network personalities, i.e., he thinks Guy Fieri, at the age of 45, needs to take the glasses off the back of his head and thinks Giada has an abnormally large head.
The audience in Cincinnati was filled with some of our most prominent chefs, foodies, bloggers and all-around interesting people in Cincinnati. Tony opened the floor to questions, and it was amazing to see so many well-traveled Cincinnatians all in one place.
Tony is welcome to our city any day…even if he made fun of our cinnamon-laced chili. I have a feeling Cincinnatian’s would welcome him with open arms and another sold out venue.

The Fabulous Beekman BoysSet your Tivo’s, this one is worth it. Planet Green’s The Fabulous Beekman Boys premiered this month and I’m already addicted! Two city boys, who admittedly have learned all they know about farming from the Internet, buy a farm in the country and the show depicts their trials and tribulations of farm life. It’s a hilarious, motivating look at starting your life over, taking chances. They’ve transformed Beekman 1802 into a lifestyle brand, now selling soap and cheeses.

Quotes: Eat Pray Love“I have a history of making decisions very quickly about men. I have always fallen in love fast and without measuring risks. I have a tendency not only to see the best in everyone, but to assume that everyone is emotionally capable of reaching his highest potential. I have fallen in love more times than I care to count with the highest potential of a man, rather than with the man himself, and I have hung on to the relationship for a long time (sometimes far too long) waiting for the man to ascend to his own greatness. Many times in romance I have been a victim of my own optimism.”
— Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love)
