Never Sleep With Makeup On…Ever
The cardinal sin of skincare is sleeping with your makeup on. No matter how tired you are, wash your face before bed. Your skin collects pore-clogging oil during the day. According to a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology, there’s also a link between air pollution and skin bumps…especially if you live in high pollution areas, like Los Angeles, Chicago and Cincinnati.
Get yourself into a good skincare routine. It really only takes two minutes before bed to cleanse, tone and moisturize. Don’t have a skincare regime yet? Try Supernatural Botanicals Skincare System.

Rooftop of the DayChicago: C-View at the Affinia Hotel
It’s not the drinks that are the star at this rooftop. Nor is it the view (though the 29th-floor spot overlooks the Hancock Building and the Sears Tower). It’s the food. As an extension of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson’s C-House, which is located in the hotel’s lobby, the indoor-outdoor lounge features a compact menu of Samuelsson’s best hits, like chorizo macaroni and cheese or gourmet fish.

Aphrodisiac AromaA study from the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago found that the scent of orange based fragrances increases male arousal by 20 percent.
Try Supernatural Botanicals Organic Orange Spa Soap. The fresh-fruit smell is absolutely amazing in the shower and as a facial wash…and now latest research shows that you’ll arouse 20 percent more men when you use it. Bonus! What’s not to love about that?

Candles as CondimentsCandles…they’re not just for ambiance anymore David Burke’s Primehouse in Chicago is using candles as condiments. They make edible candles out of bacon and beef drippings (the wicks are coated in vegetable wax.) As the candles melt, it is drizzled over dry aged steaks and salads to add an extra kick of flavor. Now that’s thinking outside the box.

Sears Tower SkydeckThis is the stuff my nightmares are made of. The Sears Tower now has a Skydeck. It’s a glass balcony, essentially, allowing you to see the ground from many stories up. You have to be a serious thrill-seeker without a fear of heights to enjoy this….neither of which attribute I possess. This looks like torture to me. It would be a fantastic grow window for plants, herbs, and flowers! Beyond that, I’ll stand back and enjoy it from afar. It would, however, be the perfect place to get over your fear of heights. Personally, I think I’ll just keep my fears. The only thing I take away from this scene is…torture!
