If you are serious not only about working out, but about being stylish while doing so, look no furhter…Spirit for Living  has got you covered.

My friends over at Spirit for Living  was generous enough to send me one of their gorgeous classic boat neck shirts.  Being a huge Green fan, I was ultra-impressed that the shirt was made of natural soy and cotton blend.  The shirt is super-soft.  I love the way that the shirt just barely slips off one shoulder once in a while…a little dose of sexy without trying too hard.

 It’s a perfect shirt for working out, as it’s comfortable and not confining whatsoever, but it’s also a great shirt to wear with jeans or even a skirt.  We all love multi-functional pieces in our closet and need more of them.

One look at Spirit for Living’s website and you’ll want every single item they offer.  My next piece will be the slim fit skirt.  It’s so pretty and flattering to the body….and it’s going to look great with my boat neck shirt.  Kudos to Spirit for Living’s founder, Jennifer Smith, for being a female entrepreneur with a consciousness about being Green and ultra-stylish.  Love that!

The colder weather means breaking your scarves out of archives.  One of the best things about the cooler temperatures is that it allows you to wear so many more styles…from boots, to jackets, to jeans to pashmina scarves.   You have a lot more options with a Fall/Winter wardrobe because you can layer with multiple pieces to accessorize your outfit.

Pashmina scarves are super trendy and super sexy.  For more ways on how to tie a Pashmina scarf, see this post.   For additional ideas, keep your eyes on celebs like Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Halle Berry, and Jennifer Aniston….celebs notorious for wearing Pashmina scarves.

It turns out that men are finding out what women knew all along…designers are lying to us.  We’ve always known that sizes will vary between different designers, which explains why you can comfortably fit into a size zero jean with some brands, and barely squeeze into a size 2 in another brand.  As it turns out, designers are playing with the minds of men, too.

Did you know that men’s Old Navy 36 inch waist jeans are 41 inches in actuality?  And that a 36 inch waist in Gap jeans is actually 39 inches?

Okay, so if it makes you feel better, go ahead and buy that “smaller” waisted jean….just stay centered in reality and know the only true way to measure your waist size is to actually measure it with a tape measure.  Don’t buy into the illusion that your waist is 5 inches smaller than it really is.  It’s all trickery in an effort to make you feel svelte, sexy, and without a reason to watch your caloric intake.  It’s all smoke and mirrors, boys.  And yes, we girls have been privy to this information for years.

Carson Kressley gives us the skinny on what every man’s wardrobe should consist of.  Ladies, you may need to help your man out in this department, but after they learn the basics, they’ll do fine on their own.

*  A great suit

*  A nice blue blazer

*  A couple of good button downs

*  A couple of sports shirts (this means a Polo or Izod, not a football jersey, boys.)

*  Three to four great fitting jeans

*   A brown belt

*  A black belt

*  A gym shoe, a leather loafer, black dress shoes, and brown dress shoes

Besides being America’s sweetheart, Christie Brinkley is a style icon.  Christie works the Hamptons look with such amazing ease.  Her style is always tailored, always classic, always appropriate, and of course, always gorgeous!

To steal Christie’s look, lean toward the preppy side, no bright colors, choose classic timeless pieces, like a great pencil skirt or a beautiful Fedora-style hat, stick with monotones, and keep jewelry to a minimum.  Love that Hampton’s look!
