We like to keep the atmosphere “inspirational” in our studio, and there’s no better way of doing that than to paint the walls…or at least a one focal wall of color.  Which color do you feel you’d be your most creative in?  Green, yellow, or orange?

The dreaded bridesmaid’s dress doesn’t have to be the dreaded bridesmaid dress anymore.  Brides are taking more chances now, doing what works for them and their likes, and moreover, their budgets.  If you are a good girlfriend to your friends, chances are, you have a closet full of disgarded southern belle dresses from their weddings.  But now that brides are adding their own unique twist, and realizing that no one likes the southern bell dress, and not even your BFF really wants to wear it.

If you are getting married, you are strongly encouraged to (A) Be unique!  (B) Give your wedding your own personal flare of bling.  Let your freak flag fly, sister.  and (C)  Avoid the dreaded traditional bridesmaid dress at all cost.

This is how a few beautiful brides injected a flare of their own personalities at their weddings.

Color represents different feelings and emotions, and has the ability to evoke those feelings from us when we surround ourselves in them.   In fact, there’s an entire psychology behind what each color represents.  If your favorite color is orange, here’s what experts think it means….Orange, a close relative of red, sparks more controversy than any other hue.  There is usually strong positive or negative association to orange and true orange generally elicits a stronger “love it” or “hate it” response than other colors. Fun and flamboyant orange radiates warmth and energy. Interestingly, some of the tones of orange such as terra cotta, peach or rust have very broad appeal.  The color is a constant reminder of summer, and of the warm, radiant sun.
How the color orange affects us mentally and physically
* Stimulates activity
* Stimulates appetite
* Encourages socialization

Chocolate brown walls are really hot right now.  Brown is the new black …or at least it is this season.  Chocolate brown walls are super-chic and rich looking and dramatically transform a room into an elegant, grown up space.  If you are color-phobic, start with painting one wall in your space a deep shade of chocolate, and accessorize with creamy white mouldings.  It’s a gorgeous look, and can go across the board style-wise, from urban to suburban.   (And to be green…Make sure the paint you purchase is either low-VOCs or no-VOCs. )
