Wintertime doesn’t mean you have to put up with skin that’s not sexy.  Bring sexy back with one easy step…moisture.  Your skin needs extra moisturizing during winter months to lock in hydration.  One of the easiest and fastest steps to achieve this is to add a moisturizing body oil to your skin right after your shower.  After your shower, before toweling off and while skin is still wet, apply your moisturizing oil to every inch of your skin.  Your skin will not only drink up the moisturizing oil, but also the water that’s on your skin.  Lightly towel off, and you’re all set to be sexy.  Not to mention, you’ll smell amazing.  Try Supernatural Botanicals’ top-selling, all-natural line of Moisturizing Oils.

Did you know that your skin absorbs approximately five cups of water every time you take a shower?  With winter on our heels, be sure to add extra moisture to your skin when you get out of the shower with either a great lotion or great body oil.

“I make sure to wash my face every night before I go to bed. I’ve been using eye cream since I was 19, and moisturizer. I can’t get out of the shower without fully lathering my whole face and body with moisturizer.”  Minka Kelly on her skincare routine.

Not all addictions are bad, especially when your addiction is to smelling good.  When you want your skin to smell fresh and clean, and not overbearing with perfume, scented body oils are your ticket.  It’s the perfect alternative to perfume, and actually improves the look and feel of your skin.  Best of all, they evoke instant-compliments.  Perfect for date night, when you want to want to smell pretty, and not like a harsh perfume.

The cardinal sin of skincare is sleeping with your makeup on.  No matter how tired you are, wash your face before bed.   Your skin collects pore-clogging oil during the day.  According to a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology, there’s also a link between air pollution and skin bumps…especially if you live in high pollution areas, like Los Angeles, Chicago and Cincinnati.

Get yourself into a good skincare routine.  It really only takes two minutes before bed to cleanse, tone and moisturize.  Don’t have a skincare regime yet?  Try Supernatural Botanicals Skincare System.

For the first time in what seems to be an eternity, I have a sunburn.  I never meant for it to happen, but it happened at the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day game I attended on Monday.

You never really realize how blistering hot the sun is until you are sitting under it for three hours…unable to move from your seat.

I now remember why I always avoid the sun, or at least use a sunblock.  Not only did the sun burn my skin, but it also parched my skin.  By Monday evening, I could feel my skin was very dry, and it looked aged by 10 years in just a few hours.

I’ve been using Supernatural Botanicals Grapefruit Body Lotion since Monday, and it’s literally healing my skin with each use.  You can physically see your skin transforming from dry and parched, to soft and moisturized.  In my opinion, and of course I’m a bit biased, it’s truly the best lotion on the market.  It’s better than anything I’ve ever used on my skin.  It truly feels like skin therapy, leaving your skin ultra-soft and smelling amazingly fresh.

Save your skin.  Start here.

Combating dry skin is a piece of cake,  you just have to know how to do it.  An all natural and inexpensive way to revive your skin is an oatmeal bath.  Use about a half a cup to a cup of plain oatmeal (it can be slow cook or instant…just be sure it’s plain with no added sugars or flavors.)

The key to an oatmeal bath is to grind the oatmeal into a fine powder.  You can do this by putting the oatmeal in a food processor or blender for about a minute.  When the oatmeal powder is added to warm water, it blends throughout the bath water and is superior in coating your skin like a silicone glove.

Oatmeal has long been used to combat dry skin and it works every time.  Try this in your bath tonight for better skin tomorrow.
