Somewhere along the line we were taught to spray perfume on our wrists, then rub them together.  “Rubbing breaks down the complex mixture of materials that create the character of a fragrance” says Laurice Rahme, Founder of Bond No. 9 Perfumes.  “It’s best to allow the fragrance to develop to its full potential and avoid rubbing.”

Things I love about it:
1.  It’s much lighter than a perfume, and you can spray it all over your body without being too overpowering.
2.  The aroma is amazing!  Citrusy, clean, crisp.  Absolutely beautiful.
3.  It’s made with Natural Organic Pure Grapefruit Essential Oils.
4.  I love that I found a scent that I’m in love with!  I constantly get compliments on how good I smell.
5.  It’s made by an eco-conscious company.
6.  It makes you feel ultra girly-girl.  What’s not to love about that?
7.  I love keeping a bottle it in the refrigerator to make it cool.  It’s so refreshing on the face and skin.
8.  I love spraying it in my hair.  …the aroma lasts for hours.

sweet-lemon-thyme.jpg

This is the newest herb in my garden, Sweet Lemon Thyme.  I knew I had to have this the moment I brushed my fingers across the dainty little leaves.  My hands smelled like fresh lemons for hours afterwards.  This herb produces a strong lemon flavor.  I’ll be making perfume from this….it’s on my to-do list.  With cooking, it will be great with chicken or seafood….think shrimp scampi!  The next time you are at the garden center, look for Sweet Lemon Thyme.    You’ll be surprised how lemony it is.  Delish!

Is your perfume fading by lunchtime?  Make it last all day long by spritzing fragrance on immediately after showing.  Perfume absorbs better on damp skin.  This works the same for damp hair, so be sure to spritz your hair as well.  By applying fragrance to damp skin and hair, the scent will last with you all day long.
