Sugar or salt scrub, which is better?  They’re both fantastic agents to exfoliate and scrub the skin.  Here’s where the difference lies…a sugar scrub will be less coarse than salt.  Sugar scrubs are softer on the skin, gentle, yet super-effective, exfoliating the skin and buffing away dry patches and making your skin ultra soft.  Salt scrubs act in the same way as a sugar scrub, yet many times you’ll find salt scrubs to be a more coarse consistency than sugar.  A scrub made with a more coarse consistency exfoliates the skin twice as much.  Of note, do not shave your legs at the same time you are using a salt scrub.  The  salt will sting and irritate your skin.  If you’ll be shaving before or after your exfoliation, use a sugar scrub, which doesn’t irritate the skin after a shave.   Try Supernatural Botanicals all natural eco-body scrubs for super-soft skin that looks healthy and radiates beauty.

For decades we’ve heard we should avoid feeding our children sugar, fearing that it will make them hyper.  But according to new studies, scientists no longer believe that to be true.

Scientists have found no connection between sugar and hyperactivity.  The theory is…sugar is a carbohydrate that our bodies use for energy.  It shouldn’t make you more hyper than if you ate any other carbohydrate.

Sugar, of course, can lead to tooth decay and obesity, but as far as it being linked to hyperactivity, there’s no concrete evidence to prove such a theory.

One of the things we are most proud of at Supernatural Botanicals is our all-natural vegetable-based sugar scrub.  It took over a year and a half of research and development to create the consistency in which we wanted.  Long gone are the standard sugar scrubs with three inches of sugar on the bottom and three inches of oil on the top.  Our sugar scrub maintains it’s consistency, so you recieve equal portions of oils and sugar.  Your skin will feel soft and mositurized, and will smell sensational.  Traditional sugar scrubs leave your body feeling like an oil-slick when you are getting out of the shower, not to mention, they are full of cheap oils and fragrances.  Our formula is 100% all natural, right down to the organic grapefruit essential oils for a burst of citrusy aroma.  Click here to learn more.

Eat Cereal

It’s the perfect power breakfast — if you use the nutrition label on the box to make a smart choice. Look for four key elements before you buy:

1. The first ingredient is a whole grain, such as whole wheat or whole oats. That tells you that the fiber, iron, B vitamin complex, and vitamin E haven’t been removed during processing.
2. It has 120 calories or less per serving, leaving room for a cup of skim milk (90 calories) and a medium-size fruit (80 calories).
3. It has at least 5 grams of fiber per serving. Fiber aids digestion, makes you feel fuller, and even helps control blood-sugar levels.
4. No more than 8 grams of sugar (or corn syrup or molasses) per serving. Even supposedly “healthy” cereals may be loaded with the stuff.
